Tiffany Greenwaldt-Simon reports in Columbia-Greene Media that the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision said on Dec. 21 that an incarcerated individual at the medium-security Greene Correctional Facility in Coxsackie was found dead on Dec. 16. They did not give a cause of death, and said that the Greene County Coroner’s Office will make that determination. It was the first death there in 2023.
