Home sales up in Capital Region

Eric Anderson is reporting in the Times Union the Greater Capital Association of Realtors is reporting home sales rose 6 percent in the Capital Region in February. Pending sales were up 8 percent, while the average sale price increased 10 percent to nearly $221,000. The median price of a home rose 4 percent to almost $190,000. The report covers an 11-county region that includes both Greene and Columbia counties. The number of homes for sale fell 19 percent over the past year, the association said.
