Nick Reisman reports for New York State of Politics that the state of New York, like many local businesses, is having trouble hiring people. Kathy Hochul said, "As our state continues to grapple with an affordability crisis, civil service exam fees place yet another burden on New Yorkers — particularly the passionate New Yorkers seeking meaningful careers in state service.... Previously the state has waived the test fees of up to $40 for people receiving public assistance and unemployed New Yorkers. Read more about this story at New York State of Politics.
