Patricia R. Doxsey reports in the Daily Freeman that Catskill's Thomas Cole National Historic Site is getting a $180,000 grant from the Henry Luce Foundation to fix up the site’s main house that was built in 1815. Earlier efforts to rehabilitate the house led to the discovery and restoration of an original decorative Cole painting on a wall in the first-floor parlors. This grant will go to restoring the second floor's private family rooms. Read more about this story in the Daily Freeman.
