Eckert reports in The Daily Mail the Greene County Democrats endorsed candidates for the upcoming local elections at the opening of the committee's campaign headquarters in Catskill, Tues., Sept. 4. In a county that has historically been a Republican stronghold, Greene County Democratic Committee Chairwoman Doreen Parsley Davis announced the committee is fielding seven candidates for Greene County Legislature: Sondra Clark (District 6, Windham) Harry Lennon (District 8, Cairo), Kevin Lennon (District 1, Catskill), Joe Kozloski (District 1, Catskill), Vincent Seeley (District 1, Catskill), James Van Slyke (District 5, New Baltimore) and Larry Gardner (District 7, Hunter). The committee also endorsed Julian Schreibman in the newly configured 19th Congressional District race, Cecilia Tkaczyk of Duanesburg in the newly formed 46th State Senate District and former Albany Police Spokesman and Round Top native James Miller in the 102nd State Assembly District.
