Watermelon-eating dynasty emerges

WGXC's Philip Grant was at the Columbia County Fair in Chatham Thu., Aug. 30 and reports of a father/daughter watermelon-eating team that merged to sweep the competition. Richard and Emily Morris took first place in the over-16, and 9-to-16-year-old categories. Click here (1:51) to listen to the interview with the winners. Grant also spoke with Larry Stickels, who finished second in the watermelon-eating contest. Stickels was also one of the participants in the Columbia County Fair Demolition Derby.
