Teachout turns down LWV debate request

Sep 29, 2016 12:06 am
The Daily Star in an editorial, reports that the Oneonta and Cooperstown Leagues of Women Voters will not host a debate between local congressional candidates this year for the first time in many campaign cycles, and they are blaming Democrat Zephyr Teachout. "Due to scheduling limits and the sprawling nature of the district, the campaign has encouraged debate organizers to team up to maximize exposure and ensure that as many people as possible can view the debates,” a press release from the Teachout campaign said. “We fully respect the LWV’s choice not to do so.” Read the full story in The Daily Star.
