Host Tom DePietro and Mark Prezorski, Landscape Curator of the Olana State Historic Site, talk with Paul D. Miller (DJ Spooky) about his performance at Framing the Viewshed: Groundswell Sun., Sept. 22. Miller holds the distinction of being the Metropolitan Museum of Art's first artist-in-residence and will give the valedictory Groundswell performance with a performance of John Cage's 1939 piece "Imaginary Landscape No. 1" at 5 p.m. on the East Lawn. The performance will employ a sonic arrangement, utilizing two variable speed phono turntables, frequency recordings, muted piano and cymbal. Nadja Verena Marcin, also participating in Groundswell, discusses her piece "The Last Mohican." Also, Hugh Horner, Executive Chef at Helsinki Hudson, will talk about Olanafest, which happens on September 21 at Olana State Historic Site. Plus local news, weather, music, and events.
