Supervisors debate spending on DSS building

Nathan Mayberg reports in the Register Star more than six months after the Columbia County Board of Supervisors voted to purchase the Department of Social Services building located in Hudson for nearly $1.3 million, lawmakers are debating how much to invest in building renovations. The list of improvements includes an overhaul of the phone system, the replaciement of fixtures in the bathrooms and upgrades to the heating and ventilation system. The supervisors are currently mulling a proposal to commission a plan for those renovations. The cost of the plan is currently at issue . A full discussion of the project will occur in January.
