Ariel Zangla writes in the Daily Freeman the Greene County Legislature this month presented the annual Ellen Rettus Planning Achievement Awards for distinguished service, innovative design and community improvement. Recipients included Eric Rasmussen of Cairo for distinguished service in the area of land conservation and education; the Cairo Public Library Board of Trustees for community and main street revitalization; Windham Mountain Partners for the innovative design of its expansion plan, "Destination Windham" and Jim Eisel of Prattsville for community improvement.
