"Nuestra Música" presents an interview with David Quituisaca, member of the Columbia County Sanctuary Movement, an organization that provides services and support to immigrants in the county. David will talk about Hudson's 4th Annual Latinx Festival and Parade. And of course Music and more Music with Kiko Veneno, Jorge Aragao, Los Zafiros, Madredeus, Miguel Aceves Mejia, and Juan Perro among others.
“Nuestra Música,” “Our Music,” presents the rhythms and folklore of Latin America, Spain, Portugal and Cape Verde. From Tango to Flamenco and all Latinx music in between. The show explores the native instruments, languages and traditions played in 22 countries and one territory. Other than Spanish and Portuguese, Nuestra Música presents songs in Quechua, Mapuche, Guaraní, Nahuatl, Gallego, Spanish Basque, and Catalán. Among many styles we present: Tango, Chacarera, Baguala, Zamba with a Z and Samba with and S, Bossa Nova, Cumbia, Llanero, Vallenato, Merengue, Parrandera, Son, Bolero, Ranchera, Corrido, Marimba, Fado, Flamenco, Sevillanas, Jota, Blues, Jazz, Danzon, Mambo and many more.
