Mixed martial arts bill goes to governor

Matthew Hamilton in The Albany Times-Union reports that New York State Assembly passed legislation to legalize professional mixed martial arts bouts in New York on March 22 113-25. The State Senate already approved the legislation, so the bill goes to Governor Andrew Cuomo now, who is expected to sign it. Fighting was banned in New York in 1997, and the state is the last to make mixed martial arts legal. Read the full story in The Albany Times-Union.
