Please note: participants must have attended Session One. Please contact WGXC for information about future workshops.

Wave Farm’s WGXC is pleased to present a series of free public workshops at local libraries as part of the Arts + Culture + Transmission program. Radio from The Field will introduce participants to environmental sound recording and to audio editing, to construct projects for radio and digital distribution. WGXC Mobile Studio Manager and artist Max Goldfarb will work with participants on how to create field recordings, edit audio, and construct projects, using free sound editing software, as a basis for giving voice to our local environments. During the two workshop sessions participants will produce a short, radio-ready production that will become a part of Wave Farm's WGXC archive. No previous experience necessary. The December sessions at the Tivoli Free Library are intended for adult participants.

To register contact max@wgxc.org or call (518) 697-7400.

Arts + Culture + Transmission is made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature, and a grant from the fund for columbia county, a fund of Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation.
