Wave Farm’s WGXC is pleased to present a series of free public workshops at local libraries as part of the Arts + Culture + Transmission program. Radio from The Field workshops introduce participants to environmental sound recording and to audio editing, to construct projects for radio and digital distribution. WGXC Mobile Studio Manager and artist Max Goldfarb works with participants on how to create field recordings, edit audio, and construct projects, using free sound editing software, as a basis for giving voice to our local environments. Workshops include two to three sessions, during which participants will produce a short, radio-ready production that will become a part of Wave Farm's WGXC archive.
No previous experience necessary. Click Turn Out for a list of past and upcoming workshops. To register or for more information, contact max@wgxc.org or call (518) 697-7400.
Arts + Culture + Transmission is made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature, and a grant from the fund for columbia county, a fund of Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation.
