Greene Co. gets $700K for security, training

Ryan Anglim is reporting in The Daily Mail Greene County has been awarded grants from the New York State Division of Homeland Security and FEMA totaling more than $700,000. Greene County Department Emergency Services Director John Farrell said the funds will be used to upgrade security and emergency communications systems and bolster training for emergency dispatchers. Farrell said some of the funds will also be used for mandated revisions to the county's Multi-Jurisdictional All Hazards Mitigation Plan, for the towns of Prattsville, Cairo, Ashland, Windham, Hunter, Lexington, Jewett, Durham and Catskill.
