The improvements have been completed at RamsHorn-Livingston Sanctuary in Catskill and the preserve has reopened, Scenic Hudson reported Wed., Dec. 18. The Sanctuary is a popular destination for bird watching, hiking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and paddling. The work completed at RamsHorn-Livingston focused on improvements to the Old Farm Road—the preserve’s main path. The sanctuary’s parking lot also was resurfaced. The 480-acre preserve, which protects part of the Hudson River’s largest tidal swamp forest, is co-owned by Scenic Hudson and Audubon New York. It is located at 80 Dubois Road in Catskill.
