Cairo Town Board finalizes new Zoning Law

Jessica Mosier is reporting in The Daily Mail the Cairo Town Board announced Wed., Aug. 14, a final draft of the town's new Zoning Law has been completed. The draft will now be submitted to the Greene County Planning Board for its approval. The Zoning Law regulates the density of development, location, design and use of structures and land within the town. Under the new version of the law, the description of the purpose of Commercial Route 23 was changed, removing the allowance for live/work developments. Changes were also made to the Schedule of Uses section of the law. All zoning districts will remain the same. A full copy of the new law can be found at Town-of-Cairo [dot] com.
