Germantown moves ahead with water plant update

Carmen Henriquez is reporting for The Columbia Paper the Germantown Town Board March 12 has approved a plan for its Water Waste Treatment Plan update. At its recent public meeting, the board accepted the final engineering report for the plant. The upgrade is expected to cost no more than $2.5 million. Grant funds in the amount of $625,000 will be set aside for the project. J. Squared Contractor won the bid to manage the upgrade, at $1.6 million. Omaha Electrical Contractor will do the electrical work for $264,000, and Delaware Engineering will oversee the project for $150,000. The State Environmental Quality Review and the bond resolution for the project were approved as well. The Germantown Town Board is next scheduled to meet, 7 p.m., Tue., April 9 at Town Hall, 50 Palatine Park Road. Read the full story in The Columbia Paper.
