Dem AG candidates criticize Cuomo

Aug 15, 2018 12:34 pm
Gloria Pazmino reports at Politico that the four Democrats running for attorney general in New York all pledged to defend net neutrality and support tech companies in the state at a candidate forum Aug. 14 in New York City. Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney, Public Advocate Tish James, Zephyr Teachout, and Leecia Eve all mostly agreed on issues. They were asked what their biggest criticism of Gov. Andrew Cuomo was. Teachout cited the governor's leadership, and she ran against Cuomo in 2014. The other three have ties to Cuomo. Eve criticized Cuomo's decision to close the Moreland Commission investigating corruption in Albany; Maloney said the governor shouldn't be hand-picking the next attorney general; and James said, "He has a huge personality. He’s also very peculiar," she said. "He’s supporting me because of 20 years of public service." read the full story at Politico.
