Kenneth C. Crowe II reports in the Times Union that a Rensselaer County employee tested positive for COVID-19 Sept. 16, closing four departments and sending 56 employees home. There were eight new cases in the county announced Sept. 16, including the one employee who worked in the county's fourth-floor office in Troy. Rensselaer County is deep cleaning that floor, where the county attorney, employment and training, aging and finance offices are, which will stay closed through Sept. 18.
