Claverack Library to hold blood drive

The Claverack Free Library has announced it will host a community blood drive in partnership with the American Red Cross, Sat., July 18. The drive will take place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the community room at 629 Route 23B in Claverack. “The Claverack Library is committed to strengthening our community and helping meet hospital and patient needs,” said Trustee Vicki Rosenwald in a press release. “A blood donation is a simple way to help save the life of someone who could be a coworker, family member, or neighbor.” All blood types are needed, especially those with types O negative, B negative and A negative. Those in need of more information or who wish to schedule an appointment, are asked to call the American Red Cross at 1-800-RED CROSS or to visit redcrossblood [dot] org, using the sponsor code claverack.
