Ginger Radio Hour: Greene County Wanderer (Audio)
It's that time of year, apparently, when a peacock known as the Greene County Wanderer makes his way around the Catskills looking for a friend and mate. We recently saw him in Cairo and called the authorities to see if someone was missing a peacock. Turns out there's a decade-long story here, and Sherry from Dog Control filled me in for this week's show. Plus, songs for all the lonely people and birds out there.
Host Justin Maiman, from Cairo, shares his latest inspirations on the "Ginger Radio Hour." The show features music, field recordings, performances, and interviews, primarily with people in and around the Catskill Mountains of New York live from WGXC's Acra studio. Excerpts of interviews on this show are often heard again later on the "WGXC Morning Show," the "WGXC Afternoon Show," or "All Together Now!"
