Ulster legislator wants term limits

Doxsey reports in The Daily Freeman that after Ulster County legislators were told they cannot pass term limits by public referendum, one representative wants the legislature to take away some voting choices. Legislature Minority Leader Ken Ronk will move the measure April 15 to the legislature's Laws and Rules Committee. Voters would not get the option to vote for county legislators, the executive, and the comptroller after they've been in office 12 years, under the measure. Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro signed similar legislation in his county last week. Read the full story in The Daily Freeman.
