WNYT in Albany reports that a part-time Athens police officer was arrested Aug. 21, accused of pepper-spraying a man after a fight. State police accused 38-year-old Anthony Delvecchio III of assault and reckless endangerment and released him on his own recognizance. The Athens police suspended the officer without pay.
