Cuomo administration, EPA tangle again

Sep 08, 2016 12:03 am
Casey Seiler reports in Capitol Confidential that moments before the beginning of a second legislative water quality hearing, the Cuomo administration released a letter to the chief administrator of the federal Environmental Protection Agency asking it to close a loophole so more small towns get water testing. Cuomo also announced he will introduce legislation to increase testing in the state’s estimated 1.1 million private wells Before the beginning of the state's first water hearing Aug. 30 in Hoosick Falls, the Cuomo administration released a similar letter, calling on EPA to pay for water cleanup efforts in Rensselaer County.
