Several local overdoses and one death reported
Columbia-Greene Media reports that there have been several overdoses and one fatality this week in Greene and Columbia counties, Greener Pathways Program Director Carl Quinn said. A Hudson-Greenport area man died, and there were overdoses in Greenport, Hudson, Cairo, and a possible overdose in Catskil, according to Quinn. That could indicate a local drug supply contaminated with fentanyl. Greener Pathways distributed Narcan and fentanyl test strips on Aug. 23 at Greenport Town Park and Public Square in Hudson.
