Donald Drumpf Theatre Vol. 175 O Death. This week our hero contemplates the death of almost 100,000 Americans.
Thanks this week for the songs from Ralph Stanley ("O Death"); Randy Rainbow ("Distraction"); The Tin Man ("If I Only Had a Heart"), Bob Dylan ("Idiot Wind"), and Golden Earring ("Twilight Zone"). Clips and excerpts from Rod Serling; Rudy Giuliani; Cartman; Richard Nixon; Seth Meyers; Judy Woodruff; Kamala Harris; Chris Hayes; Stephen Colbert; Claire McCaskill; J.L. Cauvin; John Oliver; Rick Bright; Anderson Cooper; and Nancy Pelosi. An original radio theatre show each week, with most sounds culled from the previous week, about a fictional, theatrical presidency. Contradictions tell the story, with songs, skits, and clips from political news shows and late-night comedy routines. The definition of "radio theatre" is stretched here, with an updated Dickie Goodman and/or Richard Foreman-meets-mashup style sometimes, and a more straightforward take other weeks. Currently airing on 30 or 40 stations around the world, the network has ordered another 11 months of episodes. Anyone who would like to work on a production, or have their work air in this timeslot, should contact info@wgxc.org.
