The Columbia Paper is reporting Columbia County is experiencing a severe blood shortage due to the implementation of social distancing and cancellation of blood drives throughout the country. If you are eligible to give blood, consider doing so at two upcoming local blood drives: on Tue., Apr. 28, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., at the Hudson City Firehouse, located at 95 North Seventh Street; or on Fri., May 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Taconic Hills High School, located at 73 Country Route 11A in Craryville.
