Bad holiday weather forecast
Dec 23, 2020 1:00 pm
The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for the entire WGXC listening area from 6 p.m. Dec. 24 to 6 p.m. Dec. 25. Over two inches of rain is expected to come down on an area covered in two feet of snow. There also could be heavy winds Thursday night and Friday. Temperatures are expected to be in the 50s on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and then plunge to the teens Friday night, causing widespread freezing. The temperature is not expected to get above freezing, and only slightly, on Dec. 28.
