Columbia-Greene Media is reporting the Chatham school district has added Lisa Ruud to its administrative team as the district's new administrator of educational services. Ruud heads up curriculum development and instruction, as well as the district’s targeted supports for individual students. Her appointment was effective on November 30. “I’m very pleased for the opportunity to build upon the great things that are happening here,” Ruud said. “What attracted me to Chatham is our model of continuous improvement and serving the whole child, along with the emphasis that we place on the arts and support for the community. ...” Ruud was most recently employed by the Hoosic Valley school district in Schaghticoke, Rensselaer County, where she served as the director of curriculum and instructional technology. Previously she worked as an associate principal at Montgomery C. Smith Elementary School in Hudson. Ruud holds degrees from SUNY Albany and SUNY Potsdam; she is a resident of Delmar, Albany County.
