Teenager airlifted to Albany Med after skiing accident
Bill Williams is reporting for Columbia-Greene Media an unidentified teenage boy was airlifted to Albany Medical Center December 9, following a skiing accident at the Windham Mountain Resort. Around 1:19 p.m., Greene County Paramedics and Windham Ambulance were called to the resort after receiving a report from a caller that a 14-year-old boy was unconscious and unresponsive, and bleeding, with a possible head injury. Details of the accident were not immediately available. Medical officials requested a Life Net helicopter. Medics treated the youth at the scene and he was then transported to to the state police barracks on Route 23 in Leeds, where a landing zone had been established.
