Playing Favorites: Lee “Scratch” Perry (Audio)

A broadcast in honor of Lee “Scratch” Perry, Jamaican producer and musician, who died at the age of 85 on August 29. Perry pioneered the development of dub music, the spacey variant of reggae that uses studio technology to create innovative sonic soundscapes. Perry's work with stars such as Max Romeo and Junior Murvin, as well as most of his Super Ape album (1976), will be featured. Have your earbuds ready!

Formerly called The Morning Sampler, on this show host Brendan Donegan plays, "an eclectic mix of old and new blues, electronica, pop, RnB, country, Latin, rock, rap and a bit of classical music."
