Town settles with Greene Healthcare Associates

William J. Kemble reports in the Daily Freeman the Catskill Town Board has settled its tax assessment case with Greene Healthcare Associates. The board agreed to set the 2012 assessment of the former Greene County Hospital in Jefferson Heights at $3.45 million under a settlement covering three years. At a board meeting Tues., Apr. 2, town Supervisor Joseph Leggio said about $10,000 in tax reimbursements will be required as a result of the reduced assessment. Greene Healthcare Associates, which has since sold the property to Columbia Memorial Hospital, initiated the lawsuit to get its 2009 assessment reduced. Read the full story in the Daily Mail.
