Economic impact of tourism at all time high

The Associated Press is reporting Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo said Thu., Jul. 2, the economic impact of tourism in New York state was more than $100 billion in 2014, an all-time high. The governor said an economic impact report conducted by the research firm Tourism Economics found New York was the most visited state by overseas travelers for the 14th year in a row. Tourism had a more than $62 million direct impact on the state's economy from people and companies providing goods and services to travelers. Read the full story in the Times Union.
