HudsonValley360.com reports that three Columbia County schools won state championships this week. Ichabod Crane won the Class B softball title, Chatham won the Class C title, and the Germantown boys won the Class D baseball title. Ichabod Crane's championship after a perfect season was the most impressive, the third year in a row they won the state title (there were no playoffs due to COVID-19 in 2020). The Riders beat Tamarac 3-0 on June 16 to win the title. The Chatham Panthers defeated the Lake George Warriors 4-1 on June 16 to win the 2021 Section II Class C Softball Championship. And Germantown won 2-1 over Fort Ann June 15 on the Bard College campus. Read more about this story on the HudsonValley360.com website.
