Mid-Hudson News reports that the new Chabad Jewish Center of Columbia County will host the Jewish festival of lights on December 10 in Hudson's Public Square. There will be a giant Menorah, a fire performer, and a “gelt drop” in collaboration with the local Fire Department with Mayor Kamal Johnson and other Hudson public officials in attendance. New Rabbi Mendel Kremer said, “In these challenging times, the significance of public menorahs and Jewish pride cannot be overstated....
