Adam Clayton is reporting in the Register Star the Eldridge for Congress campaign has established a field office on upper Columbia St. in Hudson. The space had its soft opening Wed., July 2. Democrat Eldridge is challenging incumbent Republican Chris Gibson of Kinderhook for the 19th Congressional District seat in November. Campaign staffer William Friedman said there will be a staff member in the office every day to talk with voters. Eldridge parted ways with campaign manager Mike Reid recently and intends to move his campaign in a different direction during the last months of the race, Friedman said. A date for the grand opening of the Hudson office has not yet been set. Read the full story in the Register Star.
