Local chef to compete on 'Chopped'

Steve Barnes is reporting for the Times Union Josephine Proul, chef-owner of Local 111 in Philmont, will compete on the Food Network series “Chopped” at 9 p.m., July 14, according to a post on the restaurant’s Facebook page. The episode, “Beasts and Bourbon,” features four chefs competing in three rounds of mystery-basket cook-offs that all include game meats and bourbon. Past local chefs who have competed on “Chopped” include Michele Hunter of “Hamlet & Ghost” in Saratoga Springs, Krista Espinal of Yono’s/dp: An american Brasserie in Albany and Ric Orlando, formerly with New World Bistro Bar in Albany.
