Craig Haigh sworn in as Hudson code official

Joe Gentile is reporting in the Register Star Hudson Fire Chief Craig Haigh is now the city's full-time code enforcement officer. Haigh replaces Peter Wurster, who retired Tues., Oct. 22, after 10 years on the job. Haigh will continue to serve as chief of the all-volunteer city fire department. He is employed as a real estate broker with Coldwell Banker in Kinderhook. Mayor William H. Hallenbeck Jr. said of Haigh, “I can speak to Craig Haigh as someone who has served the city of Hudson very well over his lifetime and has the respect of the residents of the city of Hudson new and old." Common Council President Donald Moore commended the mayor’s selection. He added that Hudson could not be better-served in terms of Haigh’s experience and fairness.
