Three Nassau bridges get federal funds

Matthew Hamilton in Capitol Confidential reports that three bridges in Nassau in Rensselaer County will get an upgrade with more than $10 million in federal funding, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Dec. 3. The governor announced 29 flood-prone bridges statewide will get federal funds, including the three in Rensselear, two in Ulster County, and two in Dutchess County. The three bridges in the Town of Nassau carry Route 20 over the Kinderhook Creek. In Woodstock the Route 212 bridge over Beaver Kill gets almost $5 million, and a Shawangunk bridge on Route 52 over Verkeerder Kill gest more than $3 million. In Dutchess County, a Milan bridge on Route 199 over Sawkill Creek gets more than $3 million, and in Union a bridge on Route 82 over Sprout Creek also gets $3 million.
