Many protests planned locally this week

After a week of less activity, there are many more protests in the Hudson Valley in the coming days. On July 29 there are the weekly 4:30 p.m. demonstrations in Ghent (the Stand for Racial Justice Weekly Demonstration at Town Hall), Kingston (the Wednesday Walks 4 Black Lives at KIngston High School), and Chatham (the Rally for Black lives at the Chatham Village Depot Square). At 6 p.m. on July 30 there is a "March for People's Protection" from the County Courthouse to the Delaware County Jail in Delhi. There is also a "Police Reform Now" event at 6:30 p.m. at Mansion Square Park in Poughkeepsie. On July 31 in Montgomery in Orange County there is "A Call to Action Against Injustice" at 4 p.m. at the Montgomery Elementary School. There is also a "Black Lives Matter" event at 6 p.m. in Ellenville at 124 Canal St. On August 1 in Albany there is a "Black Women Matter, March and Mixer" at 2 p.m. at the Boys and Girls Club at 21 Delaware Avenue. And there are also protests from a much different point of view this weekend. On August 1 at 10 a.m. there is a "Rally for the Blue led by Liberty Bell Alliance" in Albany at the New York State Capitol. At 12:30 p.m. on Aug. 2 there is a pro-police march starting. at the Stamford High School and heading to 805 Bedford St., the site of the former police station in Delaware County.
