Pumpkin crop looks good this fall

The Post Star reports that this is a good year for pumpkins, according to a Cornell University expert. Cornell horticulture professor Steve Reiners says the dry, warm weather in September minimized pumpkin diseases. Last year a drought hurt the pumpkin crop. Reiners says pumpkin purchasers should look for sturdy stems and avoid pumpkins with soft spots. Read the full story in The Post Star.
