Delgado in Hudson, Catskill

Jul 25, 2019 12:11 am
Sarah Trafton reports for Columbia-Greene Media that Rep. Antonio Delgado spent time locally July 22, opening a new office in Hudson and holding a town hall meeting in Catskill. Delgado is now sharing an office with Assemblyperson Didi Barrett at 420 Warren St. He held his fifteenth town hall meeting July 22 in Catskill at the Subversive Cafe. “People want to feel heard and respected,” Delgado said of his community outreach. “They want to feel that I am being held accountable to people here at home.” Delgado took questions in Catskill about veterans issues, affordable housing, impeachment, the opioid crisis and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Delgado voted last week against beginning impeachment proceedings against the president. “I agree with the current approach,” Delgado said. “We need to investigate. I didn’t run for Congress because I wanted to impeach the president. I also didn’t run because I wanted to be stonewalled.” Read more about this story at HudsonValley360.com.
