Cornell Cooperative names interim executive director
Daniel Zuckerman is reporting for Columbia-Greene Media Cornell Cooperative Extension of Greene and Columbia Counties has announced Finance Manager Elon Antonio will serve as its interim executive director, effective February 27. Current Executive Director Chuck Brooks announced his retirement in January, after six years of service. Antonio has been employed by Cornell Cooperative Extension since July 2012. Before that he worked as a budget examiner at the state Division of the Budget for 28 years. “I’ve had experience at the state level and I’m familiar with government operations,” Antonio said. “I came on board three months before Chuck came on board.” Antonio said he intends to focus on what the extension can do more efficiently to meet the needs of the community, and to identify possible alternative means of financial support.
