Ulster County environmental efforts lauded

The Daily Freeman reports that the state Department of Environmental Conservation recognized Ulster County’s Net Carbon Neutral Operation among seven statewide programs for their state-of-the-art commitment to environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and economic viability. At the 14th Annual New York State Environmental Excellence Awards celebration in Schenectady Ulster County's environmental efforts were awarded. “County leadership is dedicated to increasing the county’s energy conservation, energy efficiency, and renewable energy generation,” a press release from the DEC read.
