Windham close to allowing sandwich boards in town

Apr 02, 2018 3:45 pm

Carly Miller is reporting for Columbia-Greene Media the Windham Town Council is expected to legalize the use of double-sided sandwich signs, following a months-long appeal from business owners who say the signs are critical to their success. The signs have long been banned in Windham. The anticipated revisions to the law would allow business owners to display 25- by 45-inch, sandwich signs within 200 feet of a business. The signs would have to be removed after business hours and during snowstorms, or when they impede foot traffic. The board is expected to vote on the measure later this month. The town board will hold a public hearing 6:50 p.m. on April 12 at town hall. Read the full story at HudsonValley360 [dot] com.
