MidHudsonNews [dot] com is reporting Tivoli's reconstructed Broadway Bridge was dedicated June 25, to the memory of former Village Trustee Bernard “Bernie” Tieger. Tieger served the community with “a fierce loyalty and tireless passion,” said Dutchess County Executive, and Republican gubernatorial candidate, Marcus Molinaro. Molinaro lauded Tieger, noting his considerable contributions to village life. The bridge was originally built in 1929, and required major repair due to structural deficiencies.
