The Daily Mail is reporting the D.R. Evarts Library in Athens will hold its budget vote and election of trustees Wed., Oct. 19. Four seats on the library's Board of Trustees open. Trustees serve three-year terms and must be residents of the town or village of Athens who also reside in the Coxsackie-Athens or Cairo-Durham school districts. Candidates must submit a petition with the signatures of 25 qualified voters, no later than Wed., Sept. 21. Petitions are available at the library, located at 80 Second Street.
