Three candidates in Third Judicial District race

Andrew Beam is reporting in The Troy Record three candidates are vying for one state Supreme Court judgeship in New York’s seven-county Third Judicial District. Rensselaer County District Attorney Richard McNally was nominated last week by the Democratic and Independence parties; Greene County Attorney Carol Donnelly-Stevens was nominated by the Republican and Conservative parties; and Albany County Family Court Judge Dennis Duggan has the backing of the Working Families Party. The Third Judicial District comprises Albany, Columbia, Greene, Rensselaer, Schoharie, Sullivan and Ulster counties. The seat up for election in November is being vacated by Justice George Ceresia, who has reached the mandatory retirement age. Read the full story in The Troy Record.
