Larry DiDonato is reporting for Columbia-Greene Media the state Department of Environmental Conservation has announced sporting licenses and Deer Management Permits for the 2019-20 season are now on sale.  Hunting, fishing and trapping licenses will remain on sale through the year. The 2019-20 DMPs are available through October 1. The new hunting and trapping licenses are valid from Sep. 1, 2019, through Aug. 31, 2020; annual fishing licenses are valid for 365 days from the date of purchase. Hard copies of the Hunting Regulations Guide will not be available until sometime in late August; however, the electronic version is currently available at the DEC website. DEC Commissioner Basil Seggos said, “Buying a license helps support DEC’s many important conservation efforts and is the first step before heading out next season to safely and responsibly enjoy this great sport.”  Read the full story at HudsonValley360 [dot] com.
